Rhody Grows Hope
Cultivating Regenerative Sustainability
with One Garden at a Time
Rhody Grows Hope (RGH) is a container gardening program that repurposes recyclables that would otherwise be environmental waste: 32-oz yogurt containers, salad containers, and tree buckets as planters; and heat-treated pallets and milk-crates as raised garden beds to grow food while reducing environmental waste and pollution that improves environmental health and our well-being.
Rhody Grows Hope is created by CC4ES, Coalition Center for Environmental Sustainability, www.cc4es.org. Coupled with its outreach education on gardening, environmental stewardship, nutrition, healthy and sustainable living, Rhody Grows Hope encompasses all other CC4ES programs, spanning full food paths in a closed feedback loop from production to regeneration with composting.

Rhody Grows Hope Ambassadors
Rhody Grows Hope ambassadors, Hope Gardeners are community scientists and stewards for sustainability. Outreach education companion to Rhody Grows Hope is offered at school community collaborative hubs to reach community members through community events and workshops, nourishing them to be Hope Gardeners for sustainability that intersects and champions environmental, social and economic justice and equity in three cohorts:
(1) Gardening incorporated E-STEAM PBL (Environmental Science Technology Engineering Arts Math Project Based Learning) for K-12 students
(2) Y4US (Youths For Urban Sustainability) skills-training for youths ages 14-18 as afterschool and summer programs
(3) SAS (Sustainable, Affordable and Sensible) Living workshops with concentration in gardening, nutrition, healthy and sustainable living, stewardship from individuals to collective levels.
