TREE PLANTING WITH PVD TREE PLAN

This past November PVD Tree Plan visited JSEC for a unique community engagement experience. The group "aims to create a vision and an action plan for building a just and resilient urban tree canopy" (PVD Tree Plan). Community members and students were able to participate in tree planting, crafts, and other activities. "It made me realize that, as a community, we can come together to make the earth a better place" said JSEC student Tiara Baez. Together her group planted 3 trees and named them Bald Headed Becky, Harriet, and Tootsie Roll.
